Surah 5:101 – Islam’s Fear of Questions

SURAH 5:101 – ISLAM’S FEAR OF QUESTIONS

To begin, it is important to understand that thinking is driven not by answers but by questions. Questions are keys that open the doors to learning. It is a sign of intelligence. And questions are behind the birth every new initiative and originality. Questions should not be silenced. Should questions be subdued, then it signals the tragic end of wisdom, knowledge and understanding. The single most important step to gain insight begins with a question. And Questions are indispensable to the seeker of Truth. Every declarative statement of truth is an answer to a question.

Tragically, Islam has an aversion for questions. It discourages the asking of questions. From infancy Muslims are groomed to refrain from questioning the teachings of Islam. Muslims grow up learning not to question their religion. To question Islam is viewed the same as the sin of apostasy. Islam fails to see that the aspiration to ask questions is an inherent nature of humans. Islam fails to see that to prevent this privilege to ask is to take away the basic rights of an individual. By suppressing questions, Islam destroys the potentiality of the human mind to see beyond the perceptible. It destroys the power to reason. So strong is Allah’s aversion for questions that he took it upon himself to inspire verses in the Qur’an discouraging Muslims from asking questions regarding their faith:

Surah 5:101: “O ye who believe! Ask not questions about things which if made plain to you, may cause you trouble.” (Yusuf Ali)

Surah 5:102: Some people before you did ask such questions, and on that account lost their faith.” (Yusuf Ali)

And like Allah, Muhammad also strongly detests questions:

Sahih Bukhari, Volume 1, Book 3, Number 92:

Narrated Abu Musa: The Prophet was asked about things which he did not like, but when the questioners insisted, the Prophet got angry.

If you are a Muslim, ask yourself: Why is Allah discouraging people from asking questions? What is Islam trying to hide? Is blind faith the way to Islam? Why were people warned by Allah not to ask questions? How is that in Islam, the raising of questions can lead to losing one’s faith? Does not this prove that even the right answers can lead to losing one’s faith in Islam? Why did Muhammad become angry at those who asked him questions?

Only an information control cult would discourage its members from asking questions. Is it rational to accept a religious conviction as true without ever investigating it? Surely not! Muslims make the following bold claims. They claim: Allah is the true God. Islam is the true religion. Muhammad was a true prophet. And the Qur’an is the true Word of God. Are these claims true? In order to determine the validity of these claims, we will have to put Islam on the witness stand. We will have to cross-examine Islam. Cross-examination produces critical evidences that are crucial to determine the truth in the court of law. The main purpose of cross-examination is to elicit the credibility of the testifying witness. In this case, it is to determine the credibility of Islam. And cross-examination involves the art of asking the right questions to establish the truth.

In this article we will discuss Five Topics related to the teachings of Islam. And each topic will then be followed by a series of thought provoking questions. These questions are specifically designed to help Muslims determine if the teachings of Islam are based on truth? And to determine if they are logical and reasonable? But more importantly, it is to help Muslims determine if such teachings could originate from the true God? Although the article may appear to be designed primarily as “Questions for Muslims” its purpose is to aid sincere Muslims to use their God-given right to question the religion of their birth. Therefore, it is more appropriately to define this article as “Questions for Islam” or “Questions for Allah.” We will now cross-examine Islam.

TOPIC ONE

WHO WAS THE FIRST MUSLIM?

The Qur’an states Muhammad was the first Muslim.

Surah 6:163: “He has no partner. And of this I have been commanded, and I am the first of the Muslims.” (Hilali-Khan)

However, the Qur’an also states that Abraham who lived centuries before the time of Muhammad was a Muslim.

Surah 3:67: Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian but he was a Muslim, true in faith. He was not one of the Pagans (who set up partners with Allah). (Farook Malik)

The declaration of Moses as the first Muslim is also recorded in the Qur’an. And Allah validates this claim by Moses:

Surah 7:143: So when his Lord directed His light on the mountain, He blew it into bits and Moosa (Moses) fell down unconscious; then upon regaining consciousness he said, “Purity is to You! I incline towards You, and I am the first Muslim. Said Allah, “O Moosa! I have chosen you from mankind by bestowing My messages and by My speech, so accept what I have bestowed upon you and be among the thankful.” (Faridul Haque)

Wait! There are still many more individuals claiming to be Muslims before the time of Muhammad. The Qur’an teaches that the Disciples of Jesus who lived before Muhammad were also Muslims.

Surah 5:111: And as I revealed to the Disciples (The followers of Isa “Jesus”, also called the Apostles) Saying, “Believe in Me and in My Messenger.” They said, “We believe, and bear you witness that surely we ourselves are Muslims.” (Muhammad Ghali)

In fact, the Qur’an claims that All True Worshippers, from the time of Abraham to the time of Muhammad were Muslims.

Surah 22:78: Strive in the way of God with a service worthy of Him. He has chosen you and laid no hardship on you in the way of faith, the faith of your forbear Abraham. He named you Muslim earlier, and in this Qur’an. (Ahmed Ali)

Having established this, let us now cross-examine Islam.

CROSS-EXAMINTION

  • Since the Qur’an states that Muhammad was the first Muslim, while at the same moment insisting that there were Muslims living before his time, is this not a clear proof of a contradiction in the Qur’an?
  • How is Islam going to reconcile the Qur’an’s claim that Muhammad was the first Muslim with the statement in the Qur’an that Abraham who lived before him was also a Muslim?
  • How is Islam going to reconcile the Qur’an’s claim that Muhammad was the first Muslim with the statement in the Qur’an that the Disciples of Jesus who lived before him were also Muslims?
  • Do you not agree that if Abraham was truly a Muslim as the Qur’an claims, then Muhammad cannot be the first Muslim?
  • Do you not agree that if the Disciples of Jesus were truly Muslims as the Qur’an claims, then Muhammad cannot be the first Muslim?
  • Do you not agree that one or the other verse in the Qur’an is a lie?
  • Does this not clearly prove that the Qur’an contains a false statement in it?
  • Can the true Word of God contain an irrefutable error in it?
  • Can you really trust the Qur’an as the Word of God, now that you have discovered numerous blunders by Allah within its pages?

So Muslims, according to the teachings of the Qur’an, who do you believe was the first Muslim? Was it Muhammad? Or was it Abraham? What about Moses? Or was it…?

TOPIC TWO

HOW COULD THIS EVER BE POSSIBLE?

A contradiction to the simple laws of nature can be found in the following Qur’anic verse:

Surah 37:143-144: “Had it not been that he repented and glorified God, He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection.” (Yusuf Ali)

The above account is a about the experience of the Prophet Jonah. This Qur’anic verse is simply saying had not Jonah repented and glorified Allah while in the belly of the fish, he would have remained there until the “Day of Resurrection.” According to Islam, the Day of Resurrection or Qiyamah will occur at the time of the end.

CROSS-EXAMINTION

  • Can Jonah really remain in the belly of the fish until the time of the end?
  • Is this truly possible?
  • Is it not true that for Jonah to remain in the belly of the fish until the time of the end, the fish must stay alive until the time of the end?
  • Is Allah expecting the fish to live on for thousands of years until the time of the end?
  • Is it not true that the life of all creatures including that of Jonah and the fish have their limitations?
  • Does the food that we ate last week, still remain in our stomach till today?
  • Will it remain in our stomach until the Day of Judgment?
  • Does not Allah know about the simple natural laws of digestion and excretion?
  • Would the true God inspire such illogical verses in his divine Scriptures?

This leads us to only one obvious conclusion. The above Qur’anic verses could not have been inspired by the true God. It only proves that Muhammad got carried away when narrating the account of Jonah to his contemporaries. Muslims have a choice to make here. They have to either believe that Allah makes silly mistakes or accept the fact that Muhammad was faking inspiration. It cannot be both ways. It just takes one lie to prove the Qur’an wrong. And we have just seen one.

TOPIC THREE

CAN A PROPHECY BY GOD FAIL?

The ability to foretell and fulfill prophecies is a unique attribute of God. Such predictive ability displays God’s unique power. Prophecy is one of the means how God demonstrates his power and glory. But more importantly, it serves to distinguish the true God from the false gods. The fulfillment of prophecies exalts God above all others as the only One who knows the end from the beginning. Prophecies also confirm the stamp of God’s authority in his divine Scriptures. Now, let us look at a prophecy of Allah in the Qur’an. The accurate fulfillment of this prophecy of Allah will determine whether he is a true God or not. It will also reveal whether the Qur’an is the really the Word of God. Let’s read this prophecy now:

Surah 8:65: O Prophet! Rouse the Believers to the fight. If there are twenty amongst you, patient and persevering, they will vanquish two hundred: if a hundred, they will vanquish a thousand of the Unbelievers. (Yusuf Ali)

Allah prophesied in no uncertain terms that from now on – from the time the above Qur’anic prophecy was revealed – a single Muslim warrior “will vanquish” ten enemy fighters in battle. This means that Muhammad’s army of Muslim warriors “will” be able to now defeat enemies ten times more numerous than them – a ratio of 1 to 10. And Allah guarantees this stunning victory at every confrontation encountered between the Muslims and their enemies. This is truly an astounding feat. The all-knowing Allah stated very positively and confidently: “If a hundred, they will vanquish a thousand of the Unbelievers.” No ambiguity whatsoever in this clear prophecy of Allah. Can it be expressed any clearer than this?

However, just one verse later, Allah abolished his infallible prophecy in the Qur’an. Allah abrogated his own divine prophecy that enumerated the exact ratio of the number of enemies that Muslims would be able to overcome in battle. Allah guaranteed this outcome to Muhammad. Yet, Allah failed. And Allah had to dishonorably replace his prophecy:

Surah 8:66: For the present, Allah hath lightened your task, for He knoweth that there is a weak spot in you: But even so, if there are a hundred of you, patient and persevering, they will vanquish two hundred, and if a thousand, they will vanquish two thousand, with the leave of Allah: for Allah is with those who patiently persevere. (Yusuf Ali)

The ratio was changed from 1:10 to 1:2. Why? The reason for this dramatic change was because of the bitter complaint by the Muslim warriors at the impossible odds they would now encounter while engaging their enemies in battles.

Ibn Ishaq is Prophet Muhammad’s earliest and most important biographer. The Biography of Muhammad by Ibn Ishaq is known as “Sirat Rasul Allah.” In it he recorded the reaction of the Muslims when they received the prophetic message of Allah in Surah 8:65:

ISHAQ: 326: Abdullah told me that when this verse came down it was a shock to the Muslims who took it hard. They were afraid as the odds were too great. So Allah relieved them and cancelled the verse with another: ‘Now has Allah relieved you and He knows that there is a weakness among you, so if there are 100 (rather than 20) they will vanquish 200.’

CROSS-EXAMINTION

  • Why did the prophecy of Allah in Surah 8:65 fail in its fulfillment?
  • Does not this essentially prove that Allah was powerless to accomplish the outcome of his prophecy in Surah 8:65 as he had so confidently predicted in the Qur’an?
  • Does not this failure of Allah to fulfill his prophecy invalid his claim as Almighty God?
  • Does not the failure of Surah 8:65 prove that there is a failed prophecy in the Qur’an?
  • Can a divine book contain a failed prophecy in it?
  • Why did Allah abolish his own prophecy and replace it with a contradictory prophecy?
  • Does not the fact that Allah got his prophecy wrong the first time shows that just like any other imperfect human he is also learning by trial and error?
  • Since the prophecy of Allah was abrogated on account of the warriors’ reluctance to fight against such odds, does not this prove that the success or failure of Allah’s prophecy is very much determined by the decisions of imperfect humans?
  • How can the failings of humans to follow a divine direction result in the failure of Allah’s prophecy?
  • How can mere humans undo the outcome of a divine prophecy?
  • Why did not Allah know that his warriors would not be able to cope with his demand to defeat their enemies ten times their number?
  • Is it not true it is because he did not know their weakness at the time when he revealed Surah 8:65?
  • If Allah did not know the weakness of the Muslims when he declared the prophecy in Surah 8:65, can he truly be Almighty God?
  • However, if Allah knew the weakness of the Muslims, why did he then foolishly prophesy that they will be able to defeat enemies ten times more numerous, when in actual fact they could not?
  • Since Allah had to change the ratio to accommodate the weakness of the Muslims in Surah 8:66, why did he not know their weakness just one verse earlier?
  • Does the strength or weakness of the Muslims really matter when the outcome has already been decided by Allah prophetically?
  • Why did Allah choose to lower the ratio from 1:10 to 1:2 instead of raising the strength of his warriors to fight enemies ten times more numerous as he had predicted in Surah 8:65?
  • Muslims, can you trust Allah with your eternal salvation, now that you have come to know that he could not even foresee the failure of his prophecy?

What is even more damaging is that the prophecy of Allah in Surah 8:65 is not about something that has to do with the distant future, but one that concerns the immediate circumstances of the Muslims. Even though Allah’s prophecy was addressed to one specific people who were living in one specific time period, Allah got it wrong. Think, if the negative reaction of humans against the commandments of Allah can result in the abrogation of Allah’s eternal prophecy, of what value are the words of Allah in the Qur’an?

TOPIC FOUR

IS ISLAM A PAGAN RELIGION?

It may surprise many to discover that Muhammad’s life began and ended up with a pagan religion. The only difference is that he repackaged it in a monotheistic framework. The fact that many of the rituals performed in the name of Allah are connected to pagan worship shows that Islam was conceived in idolatry. Especially the rituals involving the Ka’ba are consistent with pre-Islamic pagan rituals. In addition, the striking similarities between Hinduism and Islam are too strong to be passed off as mere coincidences. Let’s consider just a few of these practices:

Before the advent of Islam the Arab polytheists observed the ritual of running around the two mounts known as As-Safa and Al-Marwah to glorify the two idols that they erected on top of these mounts. Although the idols were destroyed with the coming of Islam, the pagan practice of running around the two mounts was retained in Islam. Even though this was originally a pagan pre-Islamic practice, Muhammad incorporated it into the teachings of Islam, sanctioning it with yet another Qur’anic verse:

Surah 2:158: “Lo! (The mountains) As-Safa and Al-Marwah are among the indications of Allah. It is therefore no sin for him who is on pilgrimage to the House (of Allah) or visiteth it, to go around them (as the pagan custom is).” (Pickthall)

Sahih Bukhari, Volume 6, Book 60, Number 23:

Narrated By ‘Asim bin Sulaiman: I asked Anas bin Malik about Safa and Marwa (i.e. two mountains at Mecca). Anas replied, “We used to consider (i.e. going around) them a custom of the Pre-Islamic period of Ignorance, so when Islam came, we gave up going around them. Then Allah revealed, ‘Verily, Safa and Marwa (i.e. two mountains at Mecca) are among the Symbols of Allah. So it is not harmful of those who perform the Hajj of the House (of Allah) or perform the Umra to ambulate (Tawaf) between them.’” (Surah 2:158)

It is interesting to note that the Muslims themselves recognized this practice as paganism and were reluctant to continue this practice:

Asbab al-Nuzul by al-Suyuti, page 27:

Ibn ’Abbas himself said “The demons in the Jahiliyya used to circumnavigate all night around these two mountains. The idols (were erected) between them. When Islam came, they (Muslims) said, ‘O, apostle of Allah, we would never run between the Safa and Marwa because this is an unfavorable matter which we were accustomed to do in the Jahiliyya.’ Thus, Allah gave this verse.” (Surah 2:158)

As we can see, this “unfavorable matter” which was strongly related to idolatry, became a part of Islam. Not only Muhammad refused to abolish it but Allah sanctioned it with a Qur’anic verse. And Muslims are still practicing it today.

CROSS-EXAMINTION

  • How can the very same two mounts that were sacred to the pagans become the “Symbols of Allah”?
  • Why are other mounts, which are far more prominent, not considered as the “Symbols of Allah”?
  • How is it possible for the pagan ritualistic practice of running between these two mounts to become a part of the ritual of the Hajj in Islam?
  • Is it not true that the only reason for the pre-Islam pagans to run around those two mounts was because of the idols located there?
  • Is it not true that the only reason these two mounts were sacred to the pagans was because of those idols?
  • How then did these two mounts become sacred in Islam?

Islam believes and teaches that after the great flood, Noah’s Ark came to rest on mount Al-Judi. (Surah 11:44). Yet, Al-Judi is not considered as the “Symbols of Allah.” However, there is more to the practice of paganism in Islam.

SIMILIARITIES BETWEEN SHIVA AND ALLAH

It is a common practice for the worshippers of Shiva to repeatedly walk in a circle around their sacred object of reverence. In the temples dedicated to Shiva, Hindus always perform this practice of circumnavigation or “Pradakshina” as it is known in Sanskrit. During pre-Islamic days, the Arab pagans circumnavigate the Ka’ba as part of their religious practice to appease their deities. And there were 360 pagan idols that were situated in and around the Ka’ba. Surprisingly, this pagan practice is retained in Islam. Just like the pagans, Muslim pilgrims also follow the custom of circumnavigation. They meticulously observe this pagan custom by circling the entire Ka’ba seven times. This Islamic ritual is known as the “Tawaf.” This is yet another proof that the Ka’ba shrine is a pre-Islamic pagan shrine.

CROSS-EXAMINTION

  • Why was the Arab pagan practice of circling the Ka’ba incorporated into Islam?
  • Why are there so many striking similarities between the rites of Hinduism and Islam?
  • Why do Muslims circumnavigate the Ka’ba seven times in exact imitation of Shiva worshippers who also circumnavigate the symbol of Shiva?
  • Why do both the worshippers of Shiva and the worshippers of Allah observe a similar rite which compels them to walk around their object of reverence?
  • How is that in both these rituals, Hindus and Muslims alike, utter religious phrases repeatedly when they circumnavigate their object of reverence?
  • Why are both Hindu and Muslim male devotees required to shave their heads during their pilgrimage?
  • Why are male Muslim pilgrims required to dress in a garment consisting of two seamless sheets of white cloth in imitation of their Hindu counterparts who also dress in a type seamless garment known as “Dhoti” during their pilgrimage?
  • How is that in Islam, the Black Stone at the Ka’ba which is held sacred by the Muslims is also the symbol of Shiva which is a Black Stone known as Shiva Lingam?
  • Why are the objects of reverence of both the worshippers of Shiva and Muslims Black Stones?
  • In Hinduism, the river Ganga is inseparable from the Shiva emblem. Why do Muslims drink water from the Well of Zamzam as part of their sacred rites of the Hajj in exact imitation of their Hindu counterparts who also drink water from the Ganga River as part of the sacred rites in their worship of Shiva?

THE SYMBOL OF SHIVA IN ISLAM

The Crescent Moon is the basic symbol of Islam. The Crescent Moon can be seen on everything Islamic. It can be seen on the mosques, minarets, flags and even on the ambulances of Muslim nations. And no Muslims can deny that the Crescent Moon is recognized as the symbol of Islam in the Muslim world. And Allah even swears by the Moon:

Surah 74:32: Truly, I swear by the moon. (Usmani)

Surprise! The Crescent Moon is also associated with the Hindu deity, Shiva. In fact, the Crescent Moon is the symbol of Shiva long before the coming of Islam. In every Hindu portrayal of Shiva, the Crescent Moon is always painted across his forehead. Once again we can see the influence of the worship of Shiva on Islam. In fact, the symbol of the Crescent Moon was extremely prominent in the pagan religions of the ancient world.

CROSS-EXAMINTION

  • How did the Crescent moon become a symbol of Islam?
  • Is it a coincidence that the Crescent moon is also a symbol of Shiva?
  • Why do the worship of Shiva and Allah have so many things in common?
  • The taking of an oath requires the swearing by of something greater. And this lends weight to the oath. Why did Allah then swear by to something inferior to him?
  • Why did Allah swear by to his creation?
  • By swearing to the moon is not Allah raising the moon above himself?
  • Is it not an act of polytheism for Allah to raise the moon above himself?
  • Does not this prove that Allah is indeed a pagan deity?

Jehovah the Greatest could not swear by someone or something. Therefore, in absolute harmony with his divine standard, he swore by himself:

Hebrews 6:13: “For when God made a promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for Him to swear by, He swore by Himself.”

Does not this help us to identify who is the true God and who is not?

THE SNAKE OF SHIVALLAH

In every portrayal of Shiva, there is always a depiction of a Snake curled around his neck. By now it should not surprise us to find that the Ka’ba was once guarded by a Snake during pre-Islamic times. And Islamic sources also state that it was Allah who sent the Snake to guard the pagan treasures of the Ka’ba. Authentic Islamic sources themselves testify to this account of the pre-Islamic Ka’ba. In the Commentary by Imam al-Qurtubi which is based on the authority of Ibn Abbas, we find the following interesting narration concerning the Snake of Allah. Only the relevant quote is cited here:

At the time of Jurhum the gold and silver were stolen many times from the Kabah thus the tribe of Jurhum decided to choose a man amongst them to keep guard. Unfortunately, one day the guard himself decided to steal the gifts of the Kabah. Taking the opportunity as it came he climbed down the well and began to gather what he could in a piece of cloth. While he was busy Allah sent a stone on him, which closed the well and thus he was unable to escape.

From that day Allah sent a snake to guard the Ka’bah. The snake lived in the well guarding the gifts of the Ka’bah for over 500 years. Exposed to the wearing factors of nature the walls of the Ka’bah at the time of Quraish (slightly before the time Prophet  received Prophethood) had become weak and part of the covering had also burnt, thus the Quraish decided to rebuild the Ka’bah. However, the snake prevented them from demolishing the Holy Ka’bah every time they tried. Finally they stood at the Place of Ibrahim and prayed, “Oh Allah if you are happy in its rebuilding then make it possible and take care of this snake.” Allah sent an eagle which took the snake towards Ajyaad. This snake is referred to in the forth opinion. (Al-Azraqi’s Tarikh Makka) (Source: Imam Al-Qurtubi’s Tazkirah).

Yes! The most holiest shrine of Allah was once guarded by a Snake. Before the arrival of Islam, the Arab pagans worshipped a pantheon of idol-gods. They were pagans. These pagans prayed and entreated Allah: “Oh Allah if you are happy in its rebuilding then make it possible and take care of this snake.” And Allah promptly answered their prayers by transferring the snake. It is important to remember that it was Allah who initially sent this snake to guard the treasures of the Ka’ba while it was still a pagan temple.

CROSS-EXAMINTION

  • Why did Allah send a snake to guard the pagan treasures of the Ka’ba?
  • Why is a snake associated with both Shiva and Allah?
  • If you find a place of worship being guarded by a snake today, with which religion would you associate it?
  • Would you associate it with the true monotheist religion of Abraham or with paganism?
  • Does not the fact that the pagans prayed to Allah means he was their god?
  • Why did Allah answer the prayers of the pagans by transferring the snake?
  • At the time when the pagans wanted to rebuild the Ka’ba, it was a pagan shrine housing 360 idols. Why was Allah happy to see the restoration of the Ka’ba when it was still a pagan temple?
  • The Qur’an tells us in Surah 2:125 that the Ka’ba was first built by Allah. How did the Ka’ba that was built by Allah become a pagan temple?
  • If it was a pagan temple in the first place, how did it become the sacred place of Allah?
  • Does not this tell us that Allah is unmistakably a pagan deity?
  • Do not the evidences show that Islam is an offshoot of paganism?
  • Can Islam then be associated with the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob?

Christians do not practice the ritual of circumnavigation or circumambulation to please their God. Circumnavigation is a central practice of the religions of paganism. There are far too many similarities between Islam and paganism for it to be a religion of the true God. Jehovah, the God of Abraham would never include the practices of the pagan nations as a requirement for his worshippers to follow. But Allah did.

2 Corinthians 6:14-18: Do not become unevenly yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship do righteousness and lawlessness have? Or what sharing does light have with darkness. Further, what harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what portion does a faithful person have with an unbeliever? And what agreement does God’s temple have with idols? For we are a temple of a living God; just as God said: “I will reside among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.” “‘Therefore, get out from among them, and separate yourselves,’ says Jehovah, ‘and quit touching the unclean thing’”; “‘and I will take you in.’” “‘And I will become a father to you, and you will become sons and daughters to me,’ says Jehovah, the Almighty.”

Just to amuse ourselves we will conclude with a hilarious final topic. Of course, this does not mean that we have exhausted ourselves of topics to cross-examine Islam. There are far too many errors in the Qur’an to cover them all. There are countless absurdities in the teachings of Islam to easily expose it as a false religion. However, in this article we have limited ourselves to only some of the very obvious absurdities that can found in the teachings of Islam. For a more detailed information on the subject of absurdities in Islam, please click the following link: ABSOLUTE ABSURDITIES IN THE QUR’AN

TOPIC FIVE

DOES ALLAH LOVE PIGS?

According to Islam, acting under the commandment of Allah, Jesus will return to kill all the pigs wherever these poor creatures may be found.

CROSS-EXAMINTION

  • Did Allah create the universe and everything in it?
  • Muslim: “Of course!”
  • Does Allah love his creation that he has made?
  • Muslim: “Seventy times more than a mother.”
  • Does Allah love all his creations?
  • Muslim: “Yes. Most definitely!”
  • Does Allah love pigs?
  • Muslim: “Hmm…”

We have included the time-proven response from Muslims to the above questions. Muslims will simply not answer the final question because they know it would lead to a contradiction. If they say “Yes” then why is Allah so determined to kill all the pigs if loves them? However, if they say “No” they would be contradicting their earlier conviction that Allah loves all his creations. Since Allah is supposed to love all his creations, does this not also include the pigs? Additionally, is it not Allah who created the pigs? If pigs are meant to be detested and exterminated, why did Allah create them in the first place? Furthermore, does not Allah’s obsession to kill all the pigs clearly prove that he had made an error in creating these poor creatures? Of course, we know that Allah did not create a single living thing. We are only using the above argument to prove the absurdity of Islam.

Islam teaches that angels bring rain to mankind by Allah’s command. And Islam also teaches that angels will not enter the places where there are dogs. Mirza Abu’l-Fadl was a great Islamic scholar of the late 19th century. Once he went to fix his horse’s shoes. As the blacksmith was working on his horse, he asked the great Islamic scholar a few questions. First he asked: “Is it true that each drop of the rain is brought down by an angel?” Abu’l-Fadl responded: “Yes that is true.” The blacksmith kept working and then raised another question: “Is it true that where there is a dog, no angel enters?” Before thinking of the connection between the two questions, Abu’l-Fadl replied: “Yes, that is also true.” Then the blacksmith asked: “So who brings the rain that falls on the dogs?” The great Islamic scholar was confounded by the simple questions of an illiterate blacksmith. Yes! Questions are powerful tools when used effectively.

WHY ISLAM IS AFRAID OF QUESTIONS

We can clearly see how questions can lead Muslims to doubt Islam. Hence, the fear of questions. No matter how hard Muslims try to justify the teachings of Islam, it does not change the fact that Islam is false. The proof is everywhere. Allah was afraid of questions. And so was Muhammad. Of course, Muhammad welcomed the questions of the ignorant desert Bedouins. It gave him a false sense of grandeur. In their ignorance they once asked him: “O Prophet! Where does the sun set?” And in his ignorance he answered: “It sets in a muddy pool.” (Surah 18:83-90). And they believed him.

However, Muhammad was afraid of the questions raised by those who knew their Scriptures – the Jews and the Christians. It was a common occurrence for the Jews and the Christians of his time to query Muhammad with a myriad of questions. When his answers were contradictory or nonsensical as they often were, his contemporaries started to realize that he was just an ignorant man, and not a prophet of God. Thus, Muhammad came up with the injunction against asking questions. The renowned Muslim scholar, Maududi, warns Muslims against probing too deeply into Islam:

The Holy Prophet himself forbade people to ask questions – so do not try to probe into such things.” (Maududi, “The Meaning of the Qur’an,” Volume 3, pgs. 76-77)

In contrast, the Bible encourages Christians to “Ask, “Seek” and “Knock.

Matthew 7:7-8:Ask and it will be given to you. Seek and you will find. Knock and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives and everyone who seeks finds and to everyone who knocks it will be opened.”

Islam cannot tolerate questions because questions expose its belief system as fraudulent. This is especially true when Islam is examined closely in the light of the true Abrahamic faith. The true Abrahamic faith has in its preservation well-documented written records that predate Islam by thousands of years. Islam knows that the result of such comparative studies would raise many troubling questions in the minds of the Muslims. That is why Islam tries to silence all those who not only criticize it but also dare to question it. Questioning the tenents of Islam is viewed the same as criticizing it. And as a final counter measure, Islam carries the death penalty for those who criticize it.

In contrast, the Holy Bible encourages Christians to test every inspired expression to determine the origin of its inspiration. Is it from God or is it from the demons? Yes, even though a certain religious teaching may seem to be “inspired” it is still the course of wisdom to examine that teaching to make sure before accepting it as true. We are cautioned by Jehovah not to accept anything blindly:

1 John 4:1: Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired expression, but test the inspired expressions to see whether they originate with God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.

How do you test something without questioning it? Unlike Allah, Jehovah does not prevent his worshippers from asking? In fact, he welcomes them. This is the hallmark of a true Creator. As our Creator, he knows that the asking of questions is one of the attributes of the human mind. Jehovah not only welcomes our sincere questions but he also answers them. Please read the account in Genesis 18:20-33 to see how Jehovah repeatedly and patiently answered the questions raised by Abraham.

As a God of truth, Jehovah has no dark teachings to hide. Today, he answers us through his Word, the Holy Bible. And Jesus also displayed the same mental attitude as his heavenly Father. He too welcomed questions. In contrast, Muhammad became hot with anger when he was questioned. Not only does this disqualify him but it also proves that he was unworthy of his claim as a prophet of God. The duty of a true prophet is to answer and enlighten those under his care. And as we can see, he failed to respond to those who raised questions. Islam is an information control cult that shudders at questions. And Muslims are willing to kill those who question Islam.

SURAH 27:82: ALLAH’S FINAL MESSENGER – AN ARABIC SPEAKING BEAST

SURAH 27:82: ALLAH’S FINAL MESSENGER – AN ARABIC SPEAKING BEAST

Allah’s final messenger is an Arabic speaking Beast. No! We are not joking. According to the Qur’an, Allah will raise up a talking Beast to emerge from the earth. This Beast will allegedly appear at the time of the end when many will abandon the religion of Allah. Then Allah will cause this Beast to separate the unbelievers from those who worship Allah. And the Beast will mark the unbelievers for destruction. It will be a real Beast and it will speak to the people in Arabic. It is also known as the “Beast of the Earth” in Islamic eschatology. In view of the incredible nature of this account in the Qur’an, we have provided three different translations for the benefit of our readers:

Surah 27:82: “And when the word is fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth to speak unto them because mankind had not faith in Our revelations.” (Pickthall)

And when the Word is fulfilled against them (the unjust), we shall produce from the earth a beast to face them: He will speak to them, for that mankind did not believe with assurance in Our Signs. (Yusuf Ali)

And when the Word (of torment) is fulfilled against them, We shall bring out from the earth a beast to them, which will speak to them because mankind believed not with certainty in Our Ayât (Verses of the Qur’ân and Prophet Muhammad SAW). (Hilali-Khan)

We will now look at the Commentaries (Tafsirs) regarding this Beast from two renowned Islamic scholars. Their scholarly Commentaries are esteemed in the Muslim world and are used extensively for an in-depth understanding of the Qur’an. Islamic institutions such as the famous Al-Azhar University in Cairo use their scholarly works extensively to educate Muslims on a wide range of subjects.

Ibn Kathir’s Tafsir on The Emergence of the Beast of the Earth” states:

This is the beast which will emerge at the end of time, when mankind has become corrupt and neglected the commands of Allah and changed the true religion. Then Allah will cause a beast to emerge from the earth. It was said that it will be brought from Makkah, or from somewhere else, as we shall discuss in detail below, if Allah wills. The beast will speak to people about matters.

Ibn `Abbas, Al-Hasan and Qatadah said, and it was also narrated from `Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, that it will speak words, meaning, it will address them. Many Hadiths and reports have been narrated about the beast, and we will narrate as many of them as Allah enables us to, for He is the One Whose help we seek. Imam Ahmad recorded that Hudhayfah bin Asid Al-Ghifari said, “The Messenger of Allah came out from his room while we were discussing the matter of the Hour…”

This was also recorded by Muslim and the Sunan compilers from Hudhayfah, in a Mawquf report. At-Tirmidhi said, “It is Hasan Sahih.” It was also recorded by Muslim from Hudhayfah in a Marfu` report. And Allah knows best.

We will now look at the Commentary by al-Jalalayn. His Tafsir on Surah 27:82 states the following:

And when the word (of judgement) falls upon them, (when) they deserve that chastisement befalls them as well as all (other) disbelievers, We shall bring forth for them a beast from the earth which shall speak to them (saying), that is, which shall speak in Arabic to those who are alive at the time when it appears, among its other statements, it will say to them on Our behalf:Indeed mankind (read tukallimuhum inna’l-nasa; a variant has tukallimuhum bi-anna’l-nasa, ‘to tell them that mankind’) had no faith in Our signs’, in other words, they did not believe in the Qur’an and what it comprises (of the mention) of resurrection, reckoning and requital. With its (the beast’s) appearance the enjoining of decency and forbidding of indecency will cease, and thereafter no disbeliever will believe – just as God revealed to Noah (when He said to him): None of your people will believe except he who has already believed (Surah 11:36). (Tafsir al-Jalalayn)

It is important for the readers to remember two vital points:

One: The Beast will speak in Arabic. Arabic is the language of Allah. It is the language of the Qur’an. Two: The Beast will act as a messenger of Allah. It will speak on behalf of Allah. It is personally sent by Allah with a warning message to the unbelievers.

THE TASK OF THE BEAST OF ALLAH

The following Islamic sources reveal to us the task of the Beast and the nature of its message:

The task of the Beast will be to distinguish the believers from the non-believers, with Prophet Moosa’s (Moses) staff it will draw a line on the forehead of every believer whereby his face will become bright and luminous and with the ring of Sulaman (Solomon) it will seal the nose of every non-believer where by his whole face will become black. Thus there will be complete distinction between the Muslim and non-Muslim, so that if many parties sit at a dinner table, the Muslim and non-Muslim will be distinguished.”   (Abu Huraira-Musnad Ahmad/Tirmidhi)

It is a huge creature that will come out from the earth, a Beast other than man; nobody will be able to escape it. It will stamp the Muslim by writing ‘believer’ between his eyes, and stamp the non-Muslim by writing Kafir between his eyes.”  (As-Sunan Al-Waridah Fil-Fitan)

The Beast will talk to people and say, ‘Mankind had no faith in our revelations.’” (Ibn Kathir)

According to Islamic sources, the Beast will appear three times during the time of the end. However, it is the final appearance that will matter most. In its final appearance it will emerge from the Grand Mosque at Mecca. The Hadith by Tabrani which is based on the authority of the renowned Muslim scholar, Huzaifa bin Usaid, testifies that the Beast will come out from Al-Masjid Al-Haram in Mecca. Thus, the Ka’ba, which is situated in the central open courtyard of Al-Masjid Al-Haram, will be the throne of the Beast. (See also Imam Qurtubi’s Tazkirah and Muhammad Al-Barzanji’s Isha’ah li Ashrat Al-Sa’a).

As we can see, the Beast has been identified not only with Islam but with the holiest site of Islam, the Al-Masjid Al-Haram in Mecca. The interesting opinion by the scholars of Islam is that they believe the Beast is none other than the Snake which supposedly guarded the Holy Ka’ba during pre-Islamic days. Great scholars like Ibn Abbas, are of the opinion that the Beast is actually the Snake that guarded the Ka’ba in Mecca. In the Commentary (Tafsir) by  Imam al-Qurtubi which is based on the authority of Ibn Abbas, we find the following interesting clarification concerning this Snake of Islam:

Obeying Allah’s command the Prophet Ibraheem (Abraham) with the help of his son Ismail (Ishmael) built the Holy Ka’bah. He dug a well inside the Holy Ka’bah which was to the right of who entered it and acted as a safe to all the gifts that were presented to the Ka’bah which were kept inside it.

Yes! The most holy shrine of Allah, the Ka’ba, was once guarded by a snake. Before the arrival of Islam, the Arab Quraysh tribe worshipped a pantheon of idol-gods. They were pagans. These pagans entreated Allah: “Oh Allah if you are happy in its rebuilding then make it possible and take care of this snake.” And Allah answered their prayers by transferring the snake. Let us put aside the Beast for moment and ponder carefully at what this reveals about Allah.

Does it not prove that Allah is unmistakably a pagan deity? Firstly, for these pagans to pray to Allah, by specifically calling upon his name means he was their deity. Secondly, Allah answered their prayers by transferring the snake. Why would Allah be happy to see the restoration of a pagan temple? At the time when the pagans wanted to rebuild the Ka’ba, it was a pagan shrine housing 360 idols. These idols were only destroyed very much later by Muhammad at the conquest of Mecca. The account also states that it was Allah who initially sent the snake to guard the treasures of the Ka’ba. Why would Allah want to guard the treasures of a pagan temple? If you find a place of worship being guarded by a snake today, with which religion would you associate it? Would you associate it with the monotheistic religions of Judaism and Christianity? Or would you associate it with Paganism? Consider now the evidences from Islamic sources which show that the Ka’ba was indeed a pagan shrine before the advent of Islam:

Sahih Bukhari Volume 5, Book 59, Number 583:

Narrated By Abdullah: When the Prophet entered Mecca on the day of the Conquest, there were 360 idols around the Ka’ba.

Muhammad the Holy Prophet” by Hafiz Ghulam Sarwar, p 18-19:

II. The Religion of the Pre-Islamic Arabs. The life of the pre-Islamic Arabs, especially in the Hijaz depended on trade and they made a trade of their religion as well. About four hundred years before the birth of Muhammad one Amr bin Lahyo bin Harath bin Amr ul-Qais bin Thalaba bin Azd bin Khalan bin Babalyun bin Saba, a descendant of Qahtan and king of Hijaz, had put an idol called Hubal on the roof of the Kaba. This was one of the chief deities of the Quraish before Islam. It is said that there were altogether three hundred and sixty idols in and about the Kaba and that each tribes had its own deity…, The shapes and figures of the idols were also made according to the fancy of the worshippers…, Besides Hubal, there was another idol called Shams placed on the roof of the Kaba…, The blood of the sacrificial animals brought by the pilgrims was offered to the deities in the Kaba and sometimes even human beings were sacrificed and offered to the god…, Besides idol-worship, they also worshipped the stars, the sun and the moon.”

Based on the evidences provided here, we can clearly see that Allah is a pagan deity. As shown in the commentary by Imam Al-Qurtubi, the pagans entreated Allah and he answered their prayers. In fact, Allah was just one among the many idol gods worshipped by the pagans at the Ka’ba.

Another interesting fact to consider is the name of Muhammad’s father. His name was Abdullah. Abdullah means Slave of Allah – a constriction of Abdul (slave) and Allah. Had there been no Allah in pre-Islamic Arabia, there could be no Slave of Allah in pre-Islamic Arabia. Abdullah was not a Muslim and he died before the birth of Muhammad. He was a pagan and yet he carried the name of Allah. If Muhammad’s pagan father was named the Slave of Allah, then it logically follows that Allah must be a pagan deity. The fact is that Allah was a pre-existing deity in pagan Arabia who later became the god of Islam. The word “Allah” existed long before the word “Muslim” or “Islam” were coined. Having said that, let us get back to the subject of the Beast.

THE MINISTERS OF ALLAH

Slowly but surely a clear picture of Islam emerges. We discovered how a Snake served as a watchman for Allah in the past and how a Beast will serve as a messenger of Allah in the future. But it does not stop there. We also find Allah empowering Satan – another one of his ministers – to accomplish his purpose to mislead mankind. Study the following Qur’anic verses carefully:

Surah 38:82-83: Iblis said: “Then, by Thy power, I will put them all in the wrong, -“Except Thy Servants amongst them, sincere and purified (by Thy Grace).” (Yusuf Ali)

(Satan)) Said: “By Your Might, then I will surely mislead them all, “Except Your chosen slaves amongst them (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism).” (Hilali-Khan)

Can you believe this? With the exception of the worshippers of Allah, Satan misleads the entire world by the “Power” and “Might” of Allah. Ironically, we find Satan having high praises for the worshippers of Allah. This in itself speaks volumes. Is it not strange to find Satan invoking the name of Allah to carry out his crafty acts against those not submitting to Allah? Satan declares, “By Thy power, I will put them all in the wrong.” However, what is even more surprising is that we find Allah working in unison with Satan. Allah works along with Satan to accomplish the wicked intention of Satan to mislead the unbelievers. Study the following Qur’anic verse carefully:

Surah 43:36: “And whoever turns himself away from the remembrance of the Beneficent Allah, We appoint for him a Shaitan, so he becomes his associate. (Shakir)

He who turns away from the remembrance (Reminder) of the Compassionate (Allah), We assign a Satan for him, who becomes his intimate companion. (Farook Malik)

The “We” here is Allah. “We assign a Satan for him, who becomes his intimate companion.” In other words, Allah is in the business of introducing Satan to those whom Satan has pledged to mislead. Allah is aiding Satan to accomplish exactly what Satan challenged to do. Allah is indeed working hand in hand with Satan to mislead the unbelievers. If you think this is an exaggeration, look at the following Qur’anic verse:

Surah 19:83: “See you not that We have sent the Shayatin (devils) against the disbelievers to push them to do evil.” (Hilali-Khan)

In the above Qur’anic verse we can clearly see Allah and Satan working together. Just think, will the true God “push” anyone – either directly or by the use of demons – “to do evil”? Would not these be the attributes of Satan? While we rightly expect God to punish unrepentant sinners, we know it is beyond the holiness of the Almighty God to “push” disbelievers to “do evil.” That would make God an enforcer of evil. Well, you may reason that Allah does not do this sort of thing to the faithful believers. Really? Read the following Qur’anic verse carefully:

Surah 6:112: “So have We appointed for every Prophet an enemy – devils of men and Jinns; who inspire each other with seductive, deceptive speech which leads astray.” (H. S. Aziz)

This Qur’anic verse is shamelessly admitting that Allah appointed “devils of men and Jinns” to serve as enemies to each and every Prophet of God. Why would Allah work with the demons to oppose the Prophets of God? How do you think will these “devils of men and Jinns” demonstrate their enmity towards the Prophets of God? The Qur’an itself admits that they will demonstrate their animosity by using “seductive, deceptive speech which leads astray.” Is this not an evil design to deceive the Prophets of God into committing sin? Instead of protecting the Prophets of God, why would Allah personally appoint “devils of men and Jinns” to mislead them? Is this not a give away as to who Allah really is?

In contrast, Jehovah God cares for his Prophets. He protects them from being deceived by their adversaries:

Psalms 105:14-15: “And God did not allow any human to defraud them, But on their account he reproved kings, Saying: ‘Do not you men touch my anointed ones, And to my Prophets do nothing bad.’”

Can you not see the immense difference between Allah and Jehovah? While Allah ensnares the Prophets by appointing evil enemies to deceive them, Jehovah protects them from the deception of the evil enemies. Who do you think is the God of these Prophets? Is it Allah or Jehovah? The answer is obvious. Furthermore, it is against the loving nature of Jehovah to employ evil as a means to even simply test the faithfulness of someone. His divine nature of absolute holiness would not permit it:

James 1:13: Let no man say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God.” For God cannot be tempted with evil, neither does He tempt anyone with evil things.

The Holy Bible raises the following thought-provoking questions:

2 Corinthians 6:14-15: “For what fellowship do righteousness and lawlessness have? Or what sharing does light have with darkness? Further, what harmony is there between Christ and Satan?”

Yes! The true God will not work along with Satan. Allah does. But we are not through with Islam yet. We will now reveal why the Qur’an cannot be the Word of God. What is more, we will use the Qur’an to judge the Qur’an.

Surah 4:82: Do they not then consider the Qur’an carefully? Had it been from other than Allah, they would surely have found therein much contradictions. (Hilali-Khan)

According to the Qur’an, God’s Word cannot contain contradictions in it. Therefore, if the Qur’an is the perfect Word of God, then there should not be any contradictions in it. Contradiction simply means a combination of statements or ideas which are opposed to one another. In the context our discussion it means the stating of a position by Allah opposite to the one he had already made earlier in the Qur’an.

IRREFUTABLE CONTRADICTIONS IN THE QURAN

The Qur’an repeatedly proclaims that all the messengers sent by Allah to mankind were humans:

Surah 12:109: “Nor did We send before thee (as apostles) any but men, whom we did inspire, – (men) living in human habitations. Do they not travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those before them? But the home of the hereafter is best, for those who do right. Will ye not then understand?” (Yusuf Ali)

And again:

Surah 21:7-8: “And We sent not (as Our messengers) before thee other than men, whom We inspired. Ask the followers of the Reminder if ye know not? We gave them not bodies that would not eat food, nor were they immortals.” (Pickthall)

And again:

Surah 25:20-21: “And We have not sent before you any apostle but they most surely ate food and went about in the markets; and We have made some of you a trial for others; will you bear patiently? And your Lord is ever Seeing. And those who do not hope for Our meeting, say: Why have not angels been sent down upon us, or (why) do we not see our Lord? Now certainly they are too proud of themselves and have revolted in great revolt.” (Shakir)

All the above Qur’anic verses testify that only human messengers were sent to mankind. And to drive home the point, the Qur’an provides the reason why Allah did not send angels as his messengers to mankind:

Surah 17:94-95: And nothing prevented men from believing when the guidance came to them, except that they said: “Has Allah sent a man as (His) Messenger?” Say: “If there were on the earth, angels walking about in peace and security, We should certainly have sent down for them from the heaven an angel as a Messenger.” (Hilali-Khan)

This Qur’anic verse gives us the reason why Allah did not send angelic messengers to mankind. It states very clearly that it is because the earth is not inhabited by angels. Therefore, instead of sending angelic messengers, Allah stated that he only sent human messengers to mankind. As there is no ambiguity in the above Qur’anic verse, all the great Muslim scholars upheld this clear understanding in their Commentaries on the Qur’an. The commentary in Tafsir al-Jalalayn on Surah 17:94-95 confirms this:

Say, to them, ‘Had there been in the earth, instead of humans, angels, walking and living secure, We would have sent down to them from the heaven an angel as Messenger’, for when a messenger is sent to a people he is (always) of their kind, so that they are able to speak to him and understand from him (his message).

And Ibn Abbas, the cousin of Muhammad also made a similar comment on Surah 17:94-95:

(Say) O Muhammad, to the people of Mecca: (If there were in the earth angels walking secure, We had sent down for them from heaven an angel as messenger) for we send angel messengers only to angels and human messengers to humans. (Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs)

According to the clear teachings of the Qur’an, the reason for sending only human messengers on earth is because it is to humans that Allah is communicating his divine messages on earth. Thus, if Allah were to reveal the Qur’an to some other creatures, then he would raise a messenger from among their kind to communicate his divine messages to them. That is why it is stated in the Qur’an that if Allah wanted to deliver his divine messages to the angels he would send an angel to them.

Since like kind will be sent to like kind, is it not a contradiction for Allah to send forth a Beast as his messenger to speak to humans? Recall the response of Allah when the unbelievers inquired, “Why have not angels been sent down upon us?” He replied in Surah 17:94-95 that he would certainly have done so if the dwellers on earth were angels and not humans. Strangely, while Allah finds it a perversion, an absolute moral predicament to send angels to speak to humans, he finds no objection in sending an animal to communicate his messages to humans. If a beast can communicate with humans and convey the messages of Allah to them, then why is it wrong for angels to speak to human beings?

But the contradictions do not stop here. Allah’s contradictions continue to multiply. Either the Allah of Islam is an imposter or he must be suffering from schizophrenic. Why do we say that? It is because there are accounts in the Qur’an that clearly show that angels have been sent by God repeatedly to deliver his messages to humans. Look at the evidence:

Surah 3:39-41: And the angels called to him, while he stood praying in the chamber, saying, verily God promiseth thee a son named John, who shall bear witness to the word which cometh from God; an honourable person, chaste, and one of the righteous prophets. He answered, Lord, how shall I have a son, when old age hath overtaken me, and my wife is barren? The angel said, so God doth that which he pleaseth. Zacharias answered, Lord, give me a sign. The angel said, thy sign shall be, that thou shalt speak unto no man for three days, otherwise than by gesture: Remember thy Lord often, and praise him evening and morning. (Sale)

A second incident:

Surah 3:42-45: “And when the angels said: O Mary! Lo! Allah hath chosen thee and made thee pure, and hath preferred thee above (all) the women of creation. O Mary! Be obedient to thy Lord, prostrate thyself and bow with those who bow (in worship). This is of the tidings of things hidden. We reveal it unto thee (Muhammad). Thou wast not present with them when they threw their pens (to know) which of them should be the guardian of Mary, nor wast thou present with them when they quarrelled (thereupon). (And remember) when the angels said: O Mary! Lo! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a word from him, whose name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, illustrious in the world and the Hereafter, and one of those brought near (unto Allah).” (Pickthall)

Do not the above Qur’anic verses contradict the previous Surahs that deny the possibility of angels coming to humans as messengers? Either angels can be sent as messengers of God to humans or they cannot. This reveals a vital fact. Can Allah really then be the God who sent those angels to Zachariah and Mary? By his own admission, Allah cannot be the God who sent those angels. It proves that Allah is an impostor impersonating the true God.

Wait, there is more. Adding to these contradictions, the Qur’an also states that Muhammad preached the message of Allah to the Jinns. What makes this contradiction even more damaging is that it is Allah who directed the Jinns to Muhammad:

Surah 46: 29-32: “And when We inclined toward thee (Muhammad) certain of the jinn, who wished to hear the Qur’an and, when they were in its presence, said: Give ear! And, when it was finished, turned back to their people, warning. They said: O our people! Lo! we have heard a scripture which hath been revealed after Moses, confirming that which was before it, guiding unto the truth and a right road. O our people! respond to Allah’s summoner and believe in Him. He will forgive you some of your sins and guard you from a painful doom. And whoso respondeth not to Allah’s summoner he can nowise escape in the earth, and he hath no protecting friends instead of Him.” (Pickthall)

This is yet another contradiction since the Qur’an emphatically states that for each kind, only messengers of their own kind will be appointed to serve as messengers to them. So how is it possible for Muhammad to act as a messenger to the Jinns when he is not of their kind? Should not a Jinn be sent to deliver Allah’s messages to the Jinns? Here we find Muhammad (a human) preaching to the Jinns (spirit creatures). Allah contradicts himself time after time. Let us move on to another contradiction.

WAS MUHAMMAD THE FINAL MESSENGER?

We are told that Muhammad is the “Last of the prophets” in the Qur’an:

Surah 33:40: “Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but he is the Apostle of Allah and the Last of the prophets; and Allah is cognizant of all things.” (Shakir)

The Hadith also supports the above Qur’anic declaration that Muhammad is the final prophet of Allah.

Sahih Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 56, Number 661:

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, “The Israelis used to be ruled and guided by prophets: Whenever a prophet died, another would take over his place. There will be no prophet after me, but there will be Caliphs who will increase in number.” The people asked, “O Allah’s Apostle! What do you order us to do?” He said, “Obey the one who will be given the pledge of allegiance first. Fulfil their (the Caliphs) rights, for Allah will ask them about (any shortcoming) in ruling those Allah has put under their guardianship.”

Both the Qur’an and the Hadith unanimously state that Muhammad is the final prophet of Allah. Muslims clearly understand this to mean that Allah will not send forth any more prophets or messengers after Muhammad. However, the Qur’an clearly states that Allah will bring forth a Beast to pass throughout the earth at the time of the end to testify against mankind. Since this Beast will proclaim the warning messages of Allah to the entire world, what exactly do you think is the function of this Beast? Does it not serve as a messenger of Allah?

As shown earlier, Islamic sources state that this Beast will speak on behalf of Allah. Since the Beast will speak on behalf of Allah, it serves as spokesperson or messenger of Allah. Moreover, it is stated that it will speak in the language of Allah. It will speak in Arabic and say: “Indeed mankind had no faith in Our signs.” These are the exact words of Allah! Since this Beast declares Allah’s messages verbatim to humans on earth, this essentially rules out Muhammad as the last prophet or messenger of Allah. After all, this Beast is acting as Allah’s messenger, his agent to reveal his final message to mankind.

If Muhammad is supposed to be the very last person to deliver the messages of Allah, then how is it possible for this Beast to deliver another final message from Allah after the time of Muhammad? Since this Beast brings a final message from Allah to mankind, then it becomes Allah’s final messenger. Therefore, the title, “Last of the prophets,” which Muhammad claimed for himself should rightly be given to this animal. If Surah 33:40 is right then Surah 27:82 must be wrong and vice versa. Allah clearly contradicted himself, yet once again, by sending forth a final prophet – an Arabic speaking Beast after the time of Muhammad.

It is not over. There is yet another additional reason as to why Muhammad cannot be the “Last of the prophets.” Both the Qur’an and the Hadiths state that Jesus will come again to the earth to restore true worship.

Surah 43:61: Coming events cast their shadow before, and so will Isa (Jesus) whose return to earth shall be the sign of impending Judgement and that the Final Hour is indeed imminent. (Al-Muntakhab)

And (Jesus) shall be a Sign for the coming of the Hour of Judgment: therefore have no doubt about the Hour, but follow ye Me: this is a Straight Way.” (Yusuf Ali)

Sahih Bukhari, Volume 3, Number 656:

Narrated Abu Hurairah: Allah’s Apostle said, “The Hour will not be established until the son of Mary (i.e. Jesus) descends amongst you as a just ruler.”

Tafsir Ibn Abbas:

(And lo! Verily) in the coming of Jesus the son of Mary (there is knowledge of the Hour) there is an indication of the coming of the Hour; it is also said that this means: his coming is a sign of the advent of the Hour. (So doubt ye not concerning it) so have no doubt in the coming of the Hour, (but follow Me) by professing Allah’s divine Oneness. (Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs)

Islamic sources testify that the purpose of Jesus’ return to earth will be to eradicate unbelief and usher in the “Final Hour.” Thus, Jesus will serve, yet again, as the Prophet of God long after the death of Muhammad. Muslims must ask themselves the following important questions: “During the time when Jesus returns to the earth, as testified in the Qur’an, who will be the only living Prophet of God at that time?” “Would not this fact alone make Jesus the final Prophet of God?”

However, the most important question that Muslims must ask themselves is this: “Where is Muhammad during the time when Jesus returns as the Prophet of God?” According to the Qur’an and the Hadiths, Muhammad will be in Hell awaiting to be rescued. If you find this unbelievable, please check the following link:

THE QUR’AN CONFIRMS MUHAMMAD IS IN HELL

The true religion is like a letter written in the name of God. Examining the contents of the letter is essential to determine whether it is from God or not. There are too many contradictions in Islam for it to be a letter written in the name of God. Contradictions contradict the doctrine of God’s infallibility. In addition, it shows that Allah is inconsistent in his ways. It disqualifies him as the Almighty God. And Islam should be rejected not only for the many contradictions that can be found in the Qur’an but also because it teaches that Allah is in league with Satan.

Additionally, many of the teachings of the Qur’an are founded on pagan mythology. When mythology is passed on as divinely inspired teachings of God, it becomes potentially dangerous. The Holy Bible alerts and forewarns us of this danger long before the coming of Islam. And today we value these loving warnings of our God:

1 Timothy 4:1: However, the inspired word clearly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to misleading inspired statements and teachings of demons.

Ephesians 5:6: Let no man deceive you with empty words, for because of such things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience.

Colossians 2:8:  Look out that no one takes you captive by means of the philosophy and empty deception according to human tradition, according to the elementary things of the world and not according to Christ.

TROUBLING QUESTIONS FOR MUSLIMS

TROUBLING QUESTIONS FOR MUSLIMS

Muslims claim that Allah is the true God, Islam is the true religion, the Qur’an is the true Word of God, and Muhammad is a true prophet. Are their claims true? In order to ascertain if these claims are true or not, we will have to put Islam on the witness stand. We will have to cross-examine Islam. Cross-examination produces critical evidence in trials. The main purpose of cross-examination is to elicit the credibility of the testifying witness. In this case, it is to determine the credibility of Islam. We will now cross-examine Islam.

To begin, it is important to understand that thinking is driven not by the answers but by questions. Questions are tools that open the doors to learning. It is a sign of intelligence, and it is behind every idea, invention, and research. Should questions be muted, then it signals the tragic end of wisdom, understanding and insight of the seeker of Truth. And, of course, an end to knowledge itself. Every declarative statement of truth is an answer to a question.

Tragically, Islam discourages the asking of questions. Allah and Muhammad discourage Muslims from asking questions. From infancy Muslims are groomed to abstain from questioning the tenents of Islam. Thus, Muslims grow up learning not to question their religion. Questioning Islam is viewed the same as the sin of apostasy. To prevent someone from asking questions is to take away the basic rights of that individual. Asking questions is an inherent part of human nature. By quelling questions, Islam is destroying the reasoning power of humans.

Surah 5:101: “O ye who believe! Ask not questions about things which if made plain to you, may cause you trouble.” (Yusuf Ali)

Surah 5:102: Some people before you did ask such questions, and on that account lost their faith.” (Yusuf Ali)

Sahih Bukhari, Volume 1, Book 3, Number 92:

Narrated Abu Musa: The Prophet was asked about things which he did not like, but when the questioners insisted, the Prophet got angry.

Questions for Muslims

  • Why did Allah and Muhammad discourage people from asking questions?
  • What is Islam trying to hide?
  • Is blind faith the way to Islam?
  • Why did Muhammad become angry at those who asked him questions?
  • Why were people warned by Allah not to ask questions?
  • How is that in Islam, questioning can lead to losing one’s faith?
  • Does not this prove that even the right answers can lead to losing one’s faith in Islam?

Only an information control cult would discourage its members to raise questions. Is it rational to accept a religion as true without ever investigating or questioning it? Surely not! This article will introduce a series of topics related to the teachings of Islam. And each topic will then be followed by a series of thought provoking questions. These questions are designed to help us determine if that particular teaching of Islam is based on logic and reason. Is it based on truth? But more importantly, could such a teaching come from the true God? One of the purposes of this article is to show the importance of using questions to expose the teachings of Islam. The selected topics used here demonstrate how this can be carried out effectively. We will now question the teachings of Islam.

TOPIC NUMBER ONE: THE FIRST MUSLIM

The Qur’an states Muhammad was the first Muslim.

Surah 6:163: “He has no partner. And of this I have been commanded, and I am the first of the Muslims.” (Hilali-Khan)

However, the Qur’an also states that Abraham who lived centuries before Muhammad was a Muslim.

Surah 3:67: Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian but he was a Muslim, true in faith. He was not one of the Pagans (who set up partners with Allah). (Farook Malik)

And the Qur’an teaches that the disciples of Jesus who lived before Muhammad were also Muslims.

(Ahmed Ali)

Questions for Muslims

  • Since the Qur’an states that Muhammad was the first Muslim, while at the same instant affirming that there were Muslims living before his time, is this not a clear proof of a contradiction in the Qur’an?
  • How are you going to reconcile the claim in the Qur’an that Muhammad was the first Muslim with the statement in the Qur’an that Abraham who lived before him was also a Muslim?
  • How are you going to reconcile the claim in the Qur’an that Muhammad was the first Muslim with the statement in the Qur’an that the disciples of Jesus who lived before him were also Muslims?
  • Do you not agree that if Abraham was truly a Muslim as the Qur’an claims, then Muhammad cannot be the first Muslim?
  • Do you not agree that if the disciples of Jesus were truly Muslims as the Qur’an claims, then Muhammad cannot be the first Muslim?
  • Do you not agree that one or the other verse in the Qur’an is a lie?
  • Does this not clearly prove that the Qur’an contains a false statement in it?
  • Can the true Word of God contain an error/lie in it?
  • Can you really trust the Qur’an as the Word of God, now that you have discovered an error in it?
  • Well who was the first Muslim? Was it Muhammad? Are you sure? Or was it Moses?

In obedient submission to Allah, Moses declares that he is the first Muslim:

Surah 7:143: So when his Lord directed His light on the mountain, He blew it into bits and Moosa (Moses) fell down unconscious; then upon regaining consciousness he said, “Purity is to You! I incline towards You, and I am the first Muslim.” (Faridul Haque)

And in acknowledgement, Allah replies:

Surah 7:144: Said Allah, “O Moosa! I have chosen you from mankind by bestowing My messages and by My speech, so accept what I have bestowed upon you and be among the thankful.” (Faridul Haque)

So Muslims, according to the teachings of your Qur’an, who do you believe was the first Muslim?

TOPIC NUMBER TWO: GOD CANNOT HAVE A SON WITHOUT A WIFE

Surah 6:101: “To Him is due the primal origin of the heavens and the earth: How can He have a son when He hath no consort?” (Yusuf Ali)

Yet, the Qur’an itself records that Mary had a son without a consort.

Surah 19:20-21: She said: How can I have a son when no mortal hath touched me, neither have I been unchaste! He said: So (it will be). Thy Lord saith: It is easy for Me. And (it will be) that We may make of him a revelation for mankind and a mercy from Us, and it is a thing ordained. (Pickthall)

Questions for Muslims

  • If Mary could produce a son without a husband, would it really be impossible for the Almighty Creator to produce a son without a wife?
  • Why do you believe that the Almighty God is incapable of doing something that he himself empowered Mary to do?
  • If Mary can beget a son without the sexual participation of a husband, why is it impossible for the Almighty God to produce a son without the sexual involvement of a wife
  • If God could create the vast universe and every living being in it out of nothing, can he not produce a son for himself without a wife?
  • When the Qur’an says that God cannot have a son without a consort, is it not limiting the almightiness of God?

Yet the Qur’an contradicts itself. It acknowledges that it is possible for God to have a son from among his creations? So, can God have son? Absolutely!

Surah 39:4: “If Allah had willed to choose a son, He could have chosen what He would of that which He hath created.”

Questions for Muslims

  • Well, does not this Qur’anic verse prove that God can and could have a son?
  • Does not this prove that God could have a son anytime he wants to?
  • Does not this prove that God could simply create a son for himself?
  • Is this not exactly what the Holy Bible teaches in Colossians 1:15?

TOPIC NUMBER THREE: SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE

A contradiction to the simple laws of nature is found in the Qur’an.

Surah 37:143-144: “Had it not been that he repented and glorified God, He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection.” (Yusuf Ali)

The above account is a narration about the Prophet Jonah. This Qur’anic verse is saying that if Jonah did not repent and glorify Allah while he was in the belly of the fish, he would have remained there until the “Day of Resurrection.” According to Islam, the Day of Resurrection or Qiyamah will occur at the time of the end.

Questions for Muslims

  • Can Jonah really stay in the fish until the time of the end?
  • Can this be true?
  • Is it not true that for Jonah to stay in the belly of the fish until the time of the end, the fish must live until the time of the end?
  • Is it not true that the life of all creatures including the fish and Jonah have their limitations?
  • Is it not true that even by now – long before the time of the end – both Jonah and the fish had disintegrated into oblivion?
  • Is Allah expecting that the fish to live for thousands of years until the time of the end?
  • Does the food that we ate last week, still remain in our stomach till today?
  • Will it remain in our stomach until Judgment Day?
  • Does not Allah know about the simple natural laws of digestion and excretion?
  • Would the true God inspire such illogical verses in his divine Scriptures?

This leads us to only one obvious conclusion. The above Qur’anic verses could not have been inspired by the true God. It only proves that Muhammad got carried away when narrating the account of Jonah to his contemporaries. Muslims have a choice to make here. They have to either believe that God makes silly mistakes or accept the fact that Muhammad was faking inspiration. It cannot be both ways. It just takes one lie to prove the Qur’an wrong. And we have just seen one.

TOPIC NUMBER FOUR: A FAILED PROPHECY IN THE QUR’AN

Allah abrogated his own divine prophecy wherein he stated the exact ratio of the number of enemies that Muslim would be able to overcome in battle. Allah guaranteed this outcome to Muhammad. And Allah failed. So Allah had to replace his prophecy:

Surah 8:66: For the present, Allah hath lightened your task, for He knoweth that there is a weak spot in you: But even so, if there are a hundred of you, patient and persevering, they will vanquish two hundred, and if a thousand, they will vanquish two thousand, with the leave of Allah: for Allah is with those who patiently persevere. (Yusuf Ali)

The ratio was changed from 1:10 to 1:2. The reason for this dramatic change was because the Muslim warriors complained bitterly at the impossible odds they would have to now encounter when they engage their enemies in battles.

Ishaq: 326:

Abdullah told me that when this verse came down it was a shock to the Muslims who took it hard. They were afraid as the odds were too great. So Allah relieved them and cancelled the verse with another: ‘Now has Allah relieved you and He knows that there is a weakness among you, so if there are 100 (rather than 20) they will vanquish 200.’

Questions for Muslims

  • Why did Allah’s prophecy in Surah 8:65 fail in its fulfillment?
  • Does not this prove that Allah is incapable of seeing through to the fulfillment of his prophecies?
  • Does not the failure of Allah to accomplish the fulfillment of his prophecies invalid his claim as God Almighty?
  • Does not this prove that there is a failed prophecy in the Qur’an?
  • Can a divine book contain a failed prophecy in it?
  • Why did Allah abrogate his own prophecy and replace it with a contradictory prophecy?
  • Does not the fact that Allah got his prophecy wrong the first time shows that he is also learning by trial and error just like any imperfect human?
  • Since Allah abrogated his prophecy because of his warriors’ reluctance to fight against such odds, does not this prove that the fulfillment of Allah’s prophecy is very much dependent on the decisions of imperfect humans?
  • How can the failings of humans to follow a divine direction result in the failure of Allah’s prophecy?
  • Can mere humans effect changes in a divine prophecy?
  • Why did not Allah know that his warriors would be unable to cope with the demand to defeat their enemies ten times their number?
  • Is it not true that it is because Allah did not know the weakness of the Muslims?
  • Why did not Allah know their weakness just one verse away?
  • Why did Allah choose to lower the prophesied ratio from 1:10 to 1:2 instead of empowering his warriors with the needed strength and courage to measure up to task as he had predicted in his prophecy?
  • Can you now trust Allah with your eternal salvation when he could not even foresee that his prophecy would end in failure?

TOPIC NUMBER FIVE: JESUS WILL RETURN TO KILL ALL THE PIGS

According to Islam, acting under the commandment of Allah, Jesus will return to kill all the pigs wherever these poor creatures may be found.

Questions for Muslims

  • Did Allah create the universe and everything in it?
  • Muslim: “Of course!”
  • Does Allah love his creation that he has made?
  • Muslim: “Seventy times more than a mother.”
  • Does Allah love all his creations?
  • Muslim: “Yes. Most definitely!”
  • Does Allah love pigs?
  • Muslim: “Hmm…”

We have included the time-proven response from Muslims to the above questions. Muslims will not answer the final simple question because it would lead to a contradiction.

TOPIC NUMBER SIX: ALLAH, ALLAH, LAMA SABACHTHANI

In order to portray Jesus as a prophet of Islam, Muslims teach that when Jesus was executed on the torture stake, he cried out to God saying: “Allah, Allah, lama sabachthani.” However, the Bible records Jesus as saying: “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani.”

Questions for Muslims

  • Can you please explain why are you using this argument when you do not believe Jesus was ever nailed to the torture stake?
  • Since Jesus was quoting Psalms 22:1 while crying out to God, can both the Hebrew and the Christian Greek Scriptures be wrong in using the term “Eli” which is a Hebrew word, rather than “Allah, an Arabic word?”

The Qur’anic verse that proves Muslims wrong:

Surah 4:157: And for saying: “We killed the Christ, Jesus, son of Mary, who was an apostle of God;” but they neither killed nor crucified him, though it so appeared to them. (Ahmed Ali)

TOPIC NUMBER SEVEN: PREDESTINATION

In Islamic theology, the absolute power of Allah prevails over everything – including the freewill of humans. In other words, there is no freewill. Islam teaches that Allah has decreed all things. Both good and evil are said to come from Allah. Not only the time of death but even the outcome of a person’s salvation or condemnation is predetermined by Allah.

Surah 3:145: “Nor can a soul die except by Allah’s leave, the term being fixed as by writing.” (Yusuf Ali)

Surah 4:88: “Would you guide whom Allah has caused to err? And whom Allah has led astray cannot be guided.” (Dawood)

Surah 5:41: “He whom Allah doometh unto sin, thou (by thine efforts) wilt avail him naught against Allah. Those are they for whom the Will of Allah is that He cleanse not their hearts. Theirs in the world will be ignominy, and in the Hereafter an awful doom.” (Pickthall)

Surah 57:22: “Every misfortune that befalls the earth, or on your own person, is ordained before We bring it into being. That is easy for Allah.” (Dawood)

Surah 91:7-8: “By the soul and Who shaped it and inspired it with its sin and its piety.” (Qaribullah)

Sahih Muslim, Book 033, Number 6422:

Allah fixed the very portion of adultery which a man will indulge in. There would be no escape from it.

Questions for Muslims

  • Does not the teaching of predestination essentially mean that from the very beginning of mankind’s creation, all the wicked deeds committed by every individual are actually designed, inspired and motivated by Allah?
  • Is it justifiable for Allah to punish sinners for the sins that he himself destined them to commit?
  • Does not this teaching make Allah the driver of your life?
  • Does not this teaching reduce you to the role of a mere vehicle?
  • Therefore, when a sinner is punished, is this not comparable to the giving of a summons to the vehicle instead of the driver who drove the vehicle?
  • Should not Allah then receive the punishment for your sins?
  • What kind of God would punish sinners for the sins that he himself inspired in them before they were even born?
  • Would not such a God be both sadistic and evil in nature?
  • If your final destination in the hereafter is already predestined for you by Allah, does not this in actual fact then mean that your final destination is not dependent by your response, either favorably or unfavorably, to the teachings of Allah in the Qur’an?
  • Does not this then mean that in reality, there is no need for the Qur’an?
  • If your final place of “eternal damnation” is already determined for you before you were even born, can you then alter your destiny by attempting to live a virtuous life after you are born?
  • Is it not also true that according to the teaching of predestination you cannot even choose to live a virtuous life unless you are predestined by Allah to do so?
  • Does not this then mean that you are damned no matter what you do, if you are already damned by Allah?
  • Will the true God leave you without choice?
  • Can Allah really then be the true God?
  • Can you change your destiny?

TOPIC NUMBER EIGHT: MODESTY AND SEXUAL RESTRAINT

Muslims proudly claim that Allah advocates modesty and sexual restraint in his worshippers. However when we examine Islam, we find that the teachings of Allah belies this claim. To determine the truth, one has to only look at the incentives that Allah has in store for pious Muslim men in the hereafter. Provided below are evidences exposing the baseless claims by Muslims that Allah advocates modesty:

Surah 56:22-23: “And there will be Houris (fair females) with wide, lovely eyes as wives for the pious, Like unto preserved pearls.” (Hilali-Khan)

Surah 78:31-33: “But for the pious is prepared a place of bliss: Gardens planted with trees, and vineyards, and damsels with swelling breasts, of equal age with themselves.” (Sale)

Sunan al-Tirmidhi, Hadith Number 3834:

Narrated by Al-Miqdam ibn Ma’dikarib: Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said, “The martyr receives six good things from Allah: he is forgiven at the first shedding of his blood; he is shown his abode in Paradise; he is preserved from the punishment in the grave; he is kept safe from the greatest terror; he has placed on his head the crown of honour, a ruby of which is better than the world and what it contains; he is married to seventy-two wives of the maidens with large dark eyes; and is made intercessor for seventy of his relatives.”

Under the word, “Hur,” the Shorter Encyclopedia of Islam states on page 141:

“When the believer enters Paradise he is welcomed by one of these beings; a large number of them are at his disposal; he cohabits with each of them as often as he has fasted days in Ramadan and as often as he has performed good works besides. Yet they remain always virgins.”

Sunan al-Tirmidhi, Hadith Number 2459:

A man will have intercourse in Paradise with his wives from among al-hoor al-‘iyn (houris) and his wives from among the people of this world, if they enter Paradise with him. A man will be given the strength of a hundred men to eat, drink, feel desire and have sexual intercourse. It was narrated from Anas that the Prophet said: “The believer in Paradise will be given such and such strength for sexual intercourse.” He was asked, “O Messenger of Allah, will he really be able to do that?” He said, “He will be given the strength of one hundred (men).” [Al-Tirmidhi said it is saheeh ghareeb (authentic)].

Questions for Muslims

  • If the claim that Allah advocates modesty is true, why are the pious rewarded with unlimited sexual pleasures with abundant virgins in the Islamic heaven?
  • Why does Allah himself encourage and arouse voracious sexual appetite in his worshippers in hereafter?
  • Is this not a contradiction to the claim of modesty?
  • Does Allah have a double moral standard, one for the earth and another for Paradise?
  • If a certain act is considered as sinful here on earth, would not reason dictate that by the same unchangeable standards of God, it would also be considered as sinful in any part of God’s universe?
  • Would the true God use sexual incentive as a means to secure believers?
  • Would the true God seduce his worshippers with promises of carnal pleasures?
  • Would the true God, wherein to entice his worshippers with proposals of sexual inducements, inspire a verse saying that in heaven they will find women with swelling breasts?
  • Is this not an indication of a shameful attempt to recruit believers by a spiritually bankrupt religion?
  • Would the true God create a heavenly place for the pious to indulge in sexual activities all day long with multiple sexual partners?
  • Is orgasm the epitome of Islam’s heaven?
  • Since the pious in Allah’s Paradise will be granted seventy-two Houris solely for the purpose of sexual enjoyment, how can you reconcile your claim that Allah is against lewdness with the carnal nature of his Paradise?
  • Can Allah’s reward of unlimited sex, day in and day out, really satisfy the spiritual aspiration of a truly God-fearing person?
  • Rather than a holy place, is not Allah’s Paradise more of a celestial brothel where depraved men indulge themselves in lustful activities all day long without any moral restraint?
  • Can you honestly say that the environment of Allah’s Paradise discourages greedy sexual appetite?
  • Can you truly say that Allah advocates modesty and sexual restraint in his worshippers?
  • Can the true God be the originator of a place as immoral as this?
  • Is it not ironical that if such an environment exists here on earth, you would almost immediately conclude it is the place designed by Satan?
  • Why are the rewards of Allah, as almost everything else in Islam, directed only to the men?
  • What is the reward for women in Allah’s Paradise?

TOPIC NUMBER NINE: ISLAM IS FAIR TO WOMEN

Muslims claim that Islam is fair to women. Is this claim true? How does Islam view women?

Questions for Muslims

  • If Islam is truly fair to women, what are the rewards for deserving female Muslims in Paradise according to the Qur’an?
  • How can Paradise be considered as a delight for faithful Muslim wives when for all eternity they have to watch their husbands go about copulating all those dark-eyed heavenly virgins?
  • If a Muslim woman was married more than once while she was living on earth, to which husband will she become a wife to in Paradise?
  • If a man gets seventy-two virgins in Paradise, will he really have time for his wife?

Regarding inheritance the Qur’an states the following:

Surah 4:11: “The male shall have the equal of the portion of two females.” (Shakir)

  • Does not this Qur’anic verse mathematically establish the fact that Islam is discriminatory towards women?

Regarding testimonies in court, the Qur’an states the following:

Surah 2:282: Call in two of your men as witnesses. But if two men cannot be found, then call one man and two women out of those you approve of as witnesses, so that if one of the two women should forget the other can remind her. (W. Khan)

  • Once again, does not this Qur’anic verse mathematically establish the fact that Islam is discriminatory towards women?
  • Why is a man’s testimony worth twice the testimony of a woman in the Islamic court?
  • Since the testimony of woman is only half of that of a man, how can a Muslim woman who is raped by a Muslim man, testify against him?

Regarding the position of wives, the Qur’an states the following:

Surah 2:223: Your wives are as a tilth unto you; so approach your tilth when or how you will. (Yusuf Ali)

  • How can Allah even think of comparing the rights of a husband over his wife to that of the rights of a man over a mere piece of land?
  • Is this not a humiliating way to portray one’s wife?
  • Is there no mutual respect for each other’s body in the marital relationship between a husband and a wife in Islam?
  • By telling Muslim husbands that they can engage in sexual acts with their wives “when or how you will, does not this Qur’anic verse shows that it does not require the husbands to obtain the consent of the wives?
  • As such, is Allah not effectively permitting Muslim husbands to rape their wives?

There are many more evidences to prove that Islam is discriminatory towards women but the above examples are sufficient to prove our point.

TOPIC NUMBER TEN: ONE SINGLE WITNESS

The Qur’an is based entirely on the personal experiences of one illiterate man spanning a period of 23 years. Only one person allegedly saw the angelic messenger. Only one person allegedly heard a voice. The entire faith is limited to one book with only one person who allegedly received the revelation. There is absolutely no way to verify anything.

Questions for Muslims

  • Does not this show that the only way for you to become a Muslim is to take this one man’s word for it?
  • What supporting evidence is there that the angel Gabriel spoke to him?
  • Are there testimonies of eyewitnesses?

This is quite a contrast to the history of the Bible. Some forty different men were used to write the Scriptures consisting of sixty-six books upon which Christianity rests. These men lived and wrote the inspired messages over a period of 1600 years and they ranged in background from fishermen to kings. Various ones were contemporaries and acquainted with one another, while others were separated by hundreds of years and sometimes hundreds of miles. In spite of these challenges, the Book they produced is a complete and harmonious volume, free from contradictions and filled with evidences of divine inspiration.

As Islamic sources themselves testify, Muhammad is the only witness to his claim that he received the messages of God through Gabriel. One witness is not acceptable in substantiating such an important claim. We cannot accept the sole testimony of Muhammad. Allah even required four male witnesses to prove rape. The Bible says such claims as the ones made by Muhammad must be established on the testimony of two or three witnesses:

Deuteronomy 19:15: “Only on the testimony of two or three witnesses shall a matter be established.”

  • Does not this show that believing the sole claim of Muhammad is a violation of God’s law?

Surah 2:282: states that the testimony of two witnesses is required to confirm the truthfulness of a matter.

  • Does not this invalid the lone testimony of Muhammad?
  • By believing in the lone testimony of Muhammad are you not going against the teachings of the Qur’an?

TOPIC NUMBER ELEVEN: THE MUSLIM PRAYER

Prayer is respectful communication between man and God. Christians are free to pray to their God from anywhere, from any direction, in any respectable position, at any time of the day or night and they can still be assured that their beloved God would listen to them. To insist that you have to face a specific direction to talk to God is an insult to the Almightiness of God.

Psalms 4:1: “When I call, answer me, O my righteous God.”

However, whenever Muslims want to pray to Allah, they are commanded to do so at certain specific times, face a specific direction and follow a specific ritual. Islam’s Qiblah or prayer direction was originally towards Jerusalem. But when Muhammad desired to pray towards the Ka’ba in Mecca, Allah obliged and revealed the following Qur’anic verse:

Surah 2:144: “We see the turning of thy face for guidance to the heavens: now shall We turn thee to a Qibla that shall please thee. Turn then Thy face in the direction of the sacred Mosque: Wherever ye are, turn your faces in that direction.” (Yusuf Ali)

At the time when Allah revealed Surah 2:144 to authorize Muhammad to change the direction of the prayers of the Muslims towards Mecca, the Ka’ba was still a pagan shrine housing 360 pagan idols.

Questions for Muslims

  • Why would Allah permit Muslims to bow towards the Ka’ba while it was still polluted with 360 pagan idols?
  • Why must the prayers of the Muslims be directed towards the pagan shrine in order to reach the ears of Allah?
  • Since the Blackstone was venerated by the pagans during pre-Islamic days, why are Muslims all over the world commanded to face the same pagan Blackstone whenever they pray?
  • If you say it to unify Muslims, why are there hundreds of Muslim sects in Islam?
  • Why are these Islamic sects, who while praying unitedly in the same direction, still fighting and killing each other, even within the same sect?
  • The Sunnis and the Shias face the same direction when they pray, why are they then not united?
  • Why must all the prayers recited at every mosque – even in non-Arabic countries – be in Arabic?
  • Does not Allah understand other languages?
  • If you say it to unify Muslims, why are these very same Muslims who while praying unitedly in Arabic, still fighting and killing each other?
  • Why must Allah command Muslims to pray only at five specific times whereas Christians are free to pray whenever they would like to?
  • Where is Allah during other times?
  • Why cannot Muslim males and females pray together, like Christians in a family unit?
  • Why are Muslim women prevented from praying when they are having their menses?

TOPIC NUMBER TWELVE: SCIENCE IN ISLAM

Muslims claim that the Qur’an is inspired by God. They also claim it contains accurate scientific information about embryology and human anatomy. Yet the Qur’an contains the following unscientific teaching:

Surah 86:6-7: He was created from a fluid, ejected, Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. (Sahih International)

This teaching in the Qur’an echoes the erroneous theory of Hippocrates who believed that the semen originates, from the brain down the spinal chord, before passing through the kidneys and finally out of the body. (Hippocratic Writings, Penguin Classics, 1983, p. 317)

It is an established scientific fact that both sperm and male sex hormones are produced in two plum sized glands called the testes. The testes lie in a sac called the scrotum that hangs outside the body. This design helps to maintain a set temperature, slightly below body temperature, which is essential for the production of healthy sperm.

Questions for Muslims

  • How is it that Allah is unaware of this simple fact about the functions of the human body?
  • Why did Allah forget about the function of the testicles?
  • Why did not Allah have a clue that sperm is produced from the testicles?
  • Can Allah then truly be the Creator of mankind?
  • Can the Qur’an truly be the Word of God when it contains such a serious scientific error?
  • Does it not take one lie in the Qur’an to prove that Islam is false?
  • Why do Muslims reject established modern science and blindly believe the Qur’an when it says that sperm originates from the mid-gut section of a man’s body?

TOPIC NUMBER THIRTEEN: PAGANISM IN ISLAM

Muhammad’s life began and ended up with a pagan religion with the only difference being that he repackaged it in a monotheistic framework. The fact that many of the rituals performed in the name of Allah are connected to pagan worship, shows that Islam was conceived in idolatry. Such practices are consistent with pre-Islamic pagan rituals involving the Ka’ba. Also, the striking similarities between Hinduism and Islam are too strong to be passed off as coincidences.

Questions for Muslims

  • How can the very same two mountains that were sacred to the pagans become the “Symbols of Allah” after they came under the control of Muhammad?
  • How can the very same pagan ritualistic practice of running between these two hills also become a part of the ritual of the Hajj in Islam?
  • Why was the Arab pagan ritual of going around the Ka’ba also retained in Islam?
  • Why are there so many striking similarities between the rites of Hinduism and Islam?
  • During the Islamic ritual of Tawaf, why do Muslims circumnavigate the Ka’ba seven times in exact imitation of the Hindu worshippers of Shiva who also walk around the symbol of Shiva seven times?
  • Why do both the worshippers of Shiva and the worshippers of Allah observe a rite in which they walk around their object of reverence seven times?
  • How is it in both of these rituals, Hindus and Muslims alike utter religious phrases repeatedly during the circumambulation?
  • Why are both Hindu and Muslim male devotees required to shave their heads during their pilgrimage?
  • Why are male Muslim pilgrims required to dress in a garment consisting of two seamless sheets of white cloth in imitation of their Hindu counterparts who also dress in a type seamless garment that is known as Dhoti during their pilgrimage?
  • How is it that in Islam, the Black Stone at the Ka’ba that is held sacred by Muslims is similar to the symbol of Shiva which is also a Black Stone?
  • Why are the objects of reverence of both the worshippers of Shiva and Muslims Black Stones?
  • Why do Muslims drink water from the Well of Zamzam during their sacred rites of the Hajj in imitation of the Hindus who also drink water from the Ganga River as part of the sacred rites in their worship of Shiva?

The Crescent moon is associated with the Hindu deity Shiva. In every Hindu portrayal of Shiva, the crescent moon is always painted across his forehead.

  • Is it a coincidence that the Crescent moon is also a symbol of Islam?

In every portrayal of Shiva, there is always a depiction of a snake curled around his neck. According to Islamic sources, the Ka’ba was once guarded by a snake during pre-Islamic times. And Islamic sources state that it was Allah who sent the snake to guard the pagan treasures of the Ka’ba.

Tarikh Makka by Al-Azraqi:

This snake is referred to in the forth opinion.”

Before the arrival of Islam, the Quraish tribe worshipped a pantheon of idol-gods. They were pagans. Yet, when these pagans prayed and entreated Allah, “Oh Allah if you are happy in its rebuilding then make it possible and take care of this snake.” Allah answered their prayers by transferring the snake. It was Allah who initially sent this snake to guard the treasures of the Ka’ba when it was still a pagan temple.

Questions for Muslims

  • Why did Allah send a snake to guard the pagan treasures of the Ka’ba?
  • Why is a snake associated with both Allah and Shiva?
  • If you find a place of worship being guarded by a snake today, with which religion would you associate it?
  • Would you associate it with the true religion or with paganism?
  • Does not the fact that the pagans prayed to Allah means he was their god?
  • Why did Allah answer the prayers of the pagans by transferring the snake?

At the time when the pagans wanted to rebuild the Ka’ba, it was a pagan shrine housing 360 idols.

  • Why was Allah happy to see the restoration of the Ka’ba when it was a pagan temple?

Ironically, Muslims accuse Hinduism of paganism and idolatry. There are far too many similarities between Islam and Paganism for it to be a religion of the true God. Jehovah, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob would never incorporate the practices of the pagan nations as part of his sacred services for his worshippers to follow. But Allah did.

No matter how hard Muslims try to justify, it does not change the fact that Islam is false. The proof is everywhere. Muhammad was afraid of questions. Of course, he welcomed the ignorant questions of the desert Bedouins, but not from those who knew their Scriptures – the Jews and the Christians. It was a common occurrence for the Jews of his time to query Muhammad with a myriad of questions. When his answers were contradictory or nonsensical as they often were, the people started to realize that he was just an ignorant man, and not a prophet of God. Thus, Muhammad came up with the injunction against asking questions.

The renowned Muslim scholar, Maududi, warns Muslims against probing too deeply into Islam:

“The Holy Prophet himself forbade people to ask questions – so do not try to probe into such things.” (Maududi, “The Meaning of the Qur’an,” Volume 3, pgs.

Islam cannot tolerate questions, because its belief system is easily exposed as fraudulent. This is especially true when it is scrutinized closely in the light of the true Abrahamic faith. The true Abrahamic faith maintains well-documented written records that predate Islam by thousands of years. Islam knows that the result of such comparative studies would raise many troubling questions in the minds of the Muslims.

That is why Islam tries to silence all those who not only criticize it but even dare question it. Questioning the teachings of Islam is viewed the same as criticizing it. And as a final counter measure, Islam carries the death penalty for those who leave it. In contrast the Holy Bible shows that wisdom is achieved by asking:

James 1:5: “So, if any one of you is lacking in wisdom, let him keep on asking God, for he gives generously to all and without reproaching; and it will be given him.”

Unlike Allah, Jehovah does not prevent his worshippers from asking? This is the hallmark of a true Creator. As our Creator, he knows that the asking of questions is one of the attributes of the human mind. Jehovah not only welcomes our sincere questions but he also answers them. (Compare Genesis 18:20-33)

As a God of truth, Jehovah has nothing to hide. Today, he answers us through his Word, the Holy Bible. And Jesus too displayed the same mental attitude as his heavenly Father. He welcomed questions. In contrast, Muhammad became hot with anger when he was questioned. This proves that Muhammad was unworthy of his claim as a prophet of God. The duty of a prophet is to answer and enlighten those under his care. And as we can see, Islam is an information control cult that shudders at questions.

HOW TO USE QUESTIONS TO DESTROY THE TEACHINGS OF ISLAM

HOW TO USE QUESTIONS TO DESTROY THE TEACHINGS OF ISLAM

THE FIRST MUSLIM

(Ahmed Ali)

OUR QUESTION TO MUSLIMS

GOD CANNOT HAVE A SON WITHOUT A WIFE

Surah 6:101: “To Him is due the primal origin of the heavens and the earth: How can He have a son when He hath no consort?” (Yusuf Ali)

Yet, the Qur’an itself records that Mary had a son without a consort.

Surah 19:20-21: She said: How can I have a son when no mortal hath touched me, neither have I been unchaste! He said: So (it will be). Thy Lord saith: It is easy for Me. And (it will be) that We may make of him a revelation for mankind and a mercy from Us, and it is a thing ordained. (Pickthall)

OUR QUESTION TO MUSLIMS

OUR QUESTION TO MUSLIMS

  • Well, does not this Qur’anic verse prove that God can and could have a son?
  • Does not this prove that God could have a son anytime he wants to?
  • Does not this prove that God could simply create a son for himself?
  • Is this not exactly what the Holy Bible teaches in Colossians 1:15?

SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE

A contradiction to the simple laws of nature is found in the Qur’an.

Surah 37:143-144: “Had it not been that he repented and glorified God, He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection.” (Yusuf Ali)

The above account is a narration about the Prophet Jonah. This Qur’anic verse is saying that if Jonah did not repent and glorify Allah while he was in the belly of the fish, he would have remained there until the “Day of Resurrection.” According to Islam, the Day of Resurrection or Qiyamah will occur at the time of the end.

OUR QUESTION TO MUSLIMS

A FAILED PROPHECY IN THE QUR’AN

OUR QUESTION TO MUSLIMS

JESUS WILL RETURN TO KILL ALL THE PIGS

According to Islam, acting under the commandment of Allah, Jesus will return to kill all the pigs wherever these poor creatures may be found.

OUR QUESTION TO MUSLIMS

  • Did Allah create the universe and everything in it?
  • Muslim: “Of course!”
  • Does Allah love his creation that he has made?
  • Muslim: “Seventy times more than a mother.”
  • Does Allah love all his creations?
  • Muslim: “Yes. Most definitely!”
  • Does Allah love pigs?
  • Muslim: “Hmm…”

We have included the time-proven response from Muslims to the above questions. Muslims will not answer the final simple question because it would lead to a contradiction.

JESUS CRIED OUT: “ALLAH, ALLAH, LAMA SABACHTHANI”

In order to portray Jesus as a prophet of Islam, Muslims teach that when Jesus was executed on the torture stake, he cried out to God saying: “Allah, Allah, lama sabachthani.” However, the Bible records Jesus as saying: “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani.”

OUR QUESTION TO MUSLIMS

(Ahmed Ali)

PREDESTINATION

OUR QUESTION TO MUSLIMS

ALLAH ADVOCATES MODESTY AND SEXUAL RESTRAINT

Narrated by Al-Miqdam ibn Ma’dikarib: Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said, The martyr receives six good things from Allah: he is forgiven at the first shedding of his blood; he is shown his abode in Paradise; he is preserved from the punishment in the grave; he is kept safe from the greatest terror; he has placed on his head the crown of honour, a ruby of which is better than the world and what it contains; he is married to seventy-two wives of the maidens with large dark eyes; and is made intercessor for seventy of his relatives.”

Under the word, “Hur,the Shorter Encyclopedia of Islam states on page 141:

OUR QUESTION TO MUSLIMS

ISLAM IS FAIR TO WOMEN

Muslims claim that Islam is fair to women. Is this claim true? How does Islam view women?

OUR QUESTION TO MUSLIMS

ONE SINGLE WITNESS

The Qur’an is based entirely on the personal experiences of one illiterate man spanning a period of 23 years. Only one person allegedly saw the angelic messenger. Only one person allegedly heard a voice. The entire faith is limited to one book with only one person who allegedly received the revelation. There is absolutely no way to verify anything.

OUR QUESTION TO MUSLIMS

THE MUSLIM PRAYER

OUR QUESTION TO MUSLIMS

SCIENCE IN ISLAM

OUR QUESTION TO MUSLIMS

PAGANISM IN ISLAM

Muhammad’s life began and ended up with a pagan religion with the only difference being that he repackaged it in a monotheistic framework. The fact that many of the rituals performed in the name of Allah are connected to pagan worship, shows that Islam was conceived in idolatry. Such practices are consistent with pre-Islamic pagan rituals involving the Ka’ba. Also, the striking similarities between Hinduism and Islam are too strong to be passed off as coincidences.

OUR QUESTION TO MUSLIMS

OUR QUESTIONS TO MUSLIMS

Questioning the tenents of Islam is viewed the same as criticizing it.
